#TogetherWeWillHeal Forum

Navigating Systems, Preserving Dignity

Join us for a powerful Together We Will Heal virtual forum featuring Toia Potts, advocate and parent with lived experience navigating the child welfare and legal systems. Through her story, Toia will share the emotional impact of prolonged court involvement, family separation, and the lasting effects of not being believed. Her experience offers a deeply human lens into how system involvement shapes trust, safety, and engagement, long after legal proceedings end. Following her story, participants will explore how behavioral health professionals can preserve dignity, strengthen therapeutic alliance, and communicate transparently during mandated reporting and other high-stakes conversations. This session invites reflection, responsibility, and renewed commitment to trauma-informed practice. CEUs available for eligible participants.
